Description

The eMac (USB 2.0) was a speed bump of the previous eMac.  It ran a G4 PowerPC processor at 1.0 or 1.25Ghz, The two configurations were available with a CD-ROM, a CD-RW/DVD-ROM or a 4x SuperDrive and with 40 or 80Gb of hard drive space.  AirPort Extreme was supported.  The three USB ports were upgraded to USB 2.0.

History

The eMac (USB 2.0) had a number of improvements over the previous model.  There was an increase to RAM, faster memory and a faster graphics chip.  The midrange model disappeared and the prices dropped.  The low-end model was $799 and the higher-end was $999.
